How do I know which storage unit I should reserve – which size is best?

ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Directory offers a Storage Calculator, so you always find the storage best suited for your needs. From our home page, find the Storage Calculator tool by clicking on “Size Calculator”, seated between “Find Locations” and “Tips” on the home bar.

On the Size Calculator Page, you can select the contents you’d like to store by either using our presets or customizing your stored items.

Using the presets tool gives you a direct estimate of the storage unit you’ll need Customizing your stored items lets you select items you’ll store by room (Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room, Study, Kitchen, Garage, or Misc.)

In addition, a drop-down tool allows you to estimate the space by how you plan on organizing your unit. Find “How Full Should the Unit Be?” underneath the dining room description and select between:
  • No item stacking (Reduced accuracy but no items will hover)
  • Some item stacking (Medium accuracy)
  • Full item stacking (Best accuracy but some objects may hover)
  • After you finish making your selections, click on “Calculate” and you will receive a direct estimate of the space you’ll need.
  • What is climate-controlled storage?

    Climate-controlled storage, otherwise known as temperature-controlled storage, is a storage unit designed to keep steady temperatures. Essentially, it keeps your items safe from humidity and moisture, preventing mold or mildew buildup, damage to sensitive items, and protecting temperature-sensitive items. Some items requiring climate-controlled storage are:

  • Wood, metal, wicker, leather, or upholstered items
  • Electronics, including media
  • Artwork
  • Clothing
  • Important documents
  • Photographs
  • Instruments
  • Wine
  • Antiques
  • Collectibles
  • Medical supplies and medications
  • Makeup and toiletries
  • Household appliances
  • Sports equipment

  • How do I rent a unit?

    From the homepage, use your location and select the “Search near me” option or select “See units” from any of the storage facilities listed under “Looking for storage near you?”. ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Directory also generates a list of best priced units near your location under “Best priced units near you”, select whether you want to move in or reserve a unit from any of the choices generated.

    If you have location turned off in your internet browser, use the search bar to enter your city, zip code, or state, and select any facility from the generated list.

    Once you’ve selected a facility, select “Move In” or “Reserve” to reach the next screen. The Move-In screen provides a description of the facility’s features, along with insurance plans – if the facility offers insurance – and discounts, depending on if the facility is running any promotions. Add the unit to your cart when you are ready.

    Adding the unit to the cart brings up information on your selected unit, the storage facility you chose, as well as total fees depending on your purchase. Once you’ve reviewed the screen, select “Proceed with Move In”, and register your account**. From there, enter your payment information, and after the payment is accepted, sign the lease and a renter’s agreement will be sent to the email on file after receival of the submitted lease. **If your facility uses Surescan ID Verification, you will need to verify your identity with your driver’s license and a recent photo.

    How long does it take to rent a unit using ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite?

    Depending on the user and their needs, the process takes around 5 to 10 minutes.

    How do I access my unit after I rent online?

    ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite features a full-fledged rental suite, including payment information, billing information, leasing agreements, and online pay.

    After signing your lease, you should have received an email including your renter’s agreement and information on your unit, including your gate access code, unit number, and any facility-specific special instructions.

    What can’t I store?

    General items that should not be stored include:

  • Live animals
  • Perishables
  • Liquids
  • Explosives
  • Flammable liquids and fuels
  • Toxic materials
  • Items that need to be in a controlled environment
  • For further guidance, consult with your storage facility to find out facility-specific prohibited goods.

    What do I do if my unit is the wrong size?

    Prevent an accidental rental by using the ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Storage Calculator tool, which offers in-depth and customizable selections, as well as a 3D map of your unit and potential belongings to help you find the right size unit according to your needs.     For incorrect rental size after signing your lease, check in with your facility to see if you can switch out your storage unit. Additional fees may apply.

    Can I rent long-term parking spaces for vehicles and boats?

    It depends on your storage facility. As a general rule, vehicles must be operational and insurance information must be provided and verified before they can be stored or parked long-term. If you have any further questions, consult your facility’s management about long-term vehicle parking.

    Can I make monthly payments with ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite?

    Yes. ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite features a full-fledged rental suite, including payment information, billing information, leasing agreements, and online pay.

    Using the email you registered your ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite account with, tenants have the option to set up auto-pay or make one-time monthly payments at any time through the dashboard on their mobile device, desktop PC, or Mac.

    How do I access my online account?

    From the home page, click “Account”. On the sign in page, select your facility from the drop-down menu, and enter your account information including your registered email and password.

    If you rented a unit but did not create a ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite account, click “Create Account Here” and enter your information. You must use the email your facility has on file.

    If you forgot your password, select your facility from the drop-down menu and enter your email on-file. We will send you an email link to reset your password.

    If you no longer have access to that email and need to access your account, either update your email through your facility or call the Customer Support team for additional assistance at 877-330-0221.

    How do I add my facility on ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Directory?

    Will tenants know their best options without seeing the facility in person?

    With the ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite, tenants have access to our 3D Map along with our Tiered Value Pricing tool. The 3D Map tool allows tenants to see a layout of the facility before renting, letting them know the exact location of their storage units.

    Coupled with our Tiered Value Pricing tool, this provides tenants with a seamless experience, allowing them to see the facility and the best valued unit. With Tiered Value Pricing, tenants view the 3D Map, seeing units organized in terms of good, better, or best depending on the unit’s proximity to entrances, elevators, and other valuable amenities that increase the value of a unit location. Tiered Value Pricing also adjusts the pricing of those units based on those amenities, ensuring that clients and tenants receive the best value for premium units.

    Where do I find the tenants who rent through ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Directory?

    The ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite comes complete with a dashboard where facility owners and managers can view tenant information, information on new tenants, their revenue stream, and manage tenants who choose not to rent immediately (abandonment).

    Facility owners and managers also receive email alerts whenever a new tenant rents a unit through the ClickandStor® Online Rental Suite Directory.

Alternatively, facility managers can reach out to us and we can work on any problems their clients may be having with the Online Rental Suite.
